I know you KNOW IT. ROB ZOMBIE. HELL YEA. LETZ ROCKKKKKKA. XD. I haven't seen this movie yet (can't find it online and can't afford the apps the movie's on either) but I hope to see it soon. Because eiza Gonzalez is my most favorite girl in the universe and most favorite actress ever.

Even though I only watched the trailer for now, but from what I saw, eiza should've won an oscar For her performance.

I really hope in the movie that Jane and her friend Heidi get out of that train wreck of a mess they gotten themselves into or ill never forgive them both. I won't rate she's missing for now until after I seen it! Hope it comes to theaters or on DVD soon.

Writer/director Alexandra McGuinness’ She’s Missing is such an odd, intermittently compelling amalgamation of motifs and genres, it really should amount to more than it does. Her film contains strong similarities to the recent Them That Follow, its desert landscape substituting Britt Poulton and Dan Madison Savage’s Appalachian setting. The two films share a central theme: that of being sheltered in a remote society, a fermented microcosm if you will, from which sole salvation lies in the form of a sect. Both feature strong female protagonists, attempting to escape that world – although the ones in McGuiness’ film resort to liquid hallucinogens as opposed to slithering snake gods. Yeah, things get pretty crazy. Too bad it constantly feels like the clearly-talented filmmaker is holding back the reigns (unlike her equestrian heroine), slowing the pace and muting the palette when the narrative calls for an unabashed commitment to depravity. It’s as if she wanted to make a Lynchian psychedelic drama and a slow-burning backcountry thriller but failed to find a coherent middle ground. Heidi works at the local diner; she’s humble and giggles nervously when she talks. Jane works at the casino, in addition to preparing for a rodeo; she deems herself a queen, aiming to “set the world on fire. ” Though Jane gets married (reluctantly), she persists that there are bigger things out there for her. Speaking of her wedding, the mysterious Ren (Josh Hartnett) shows up with an even more mysterious envelope. “Don’t you get tired of feeling totally powerless sometimes? ” Jane demands shrilly, after setting a bunch of newspaper on fire in a panicked state. When Heidi attempts to confront her, Jane snaps, “I don’t need you anymore. ” Even after winning the crown at the rodeo, she doesn’t care. “I’m done, ” she says, “I want a real crown. ” The day after, Jane goes – you guessed it – missing. "…I’ll take a bold, if misshapen, curiosity such as this over safe Hollywood fare any day. ".

This striking drama vividly captures the sense of uncertainty of transient lives, but loses power in a final act which gets somewhat mired in hallucinatory dream logic. McGuinness puts emphasis on creating an emphatic sense of place The second film from Irish director Alexandra McGuinness following London-set Lotus Eaters, She’s Missing has a Lynchian sense of mystery and is a prickly and distinctive portrait of female friendship. Perhaps a little offbeat to make much of a mark theatrically, the film could find an audience through streaming platforms. McGuinness puts emphasis on creating an emphatic sense of place. The parched backdrop somehow seeps into every frame. There’s a dusted, soft quality to the light in the interior scenes; repeated overhead exterior shots show networks of baked riverbeds threading through the landscape like dried out veins. There’s a sense, which builds throughout the film, that the desert is almost a malevolent presence. It’s certainly an uncaring one, as the wall of missing person posters in Heidi’s diner attests. Impulsive Jane sees her life in the sun-baked backwater as something to escape, by any means necessary. But Heidi is more rooted: the screenplay drops hints of an unsettled backstory which prompts her to cling to the stability of the unremarkable life she has made for herself. She is thrilled when, out of the blue, she is contacted by the aunt she never knew, but loyalty to Jane prevents her from relocating. Jane has no such qualms, flooring her BFF with the announcement of a whirlwind engagement and marriage to a soldier. But life in the flat, grey community where the spouses of military personnel while away their time doesn’t sit well with Jane’s dreams of rodeo glory. And she is curiously snippy about Heidi’s relationship with a wannabe cowboy. After Jane tries and fails to earn the crown of rodeo queen, she simply vanishes. And Heidi soon realises that she is the only person who cares. Of the two central characters, Heidi is the more satisfyingly developed. Fry fleshes out a character who has an unassuming charm despite her early diffidence. And an increasingly steely toughness is a welcome addition to the character’s arsenal as her quest for Jane leads her to a cult-like desert community of cactus juice addicts, led by Josh Hartnett wearing a beatific smirk and a kaftan. Jane, meanwhile, is petulant and mercurial, but her character’s motivation is clouded. An ominous score, full of metallic clanks and groans, helps build the tension and sense of threat. But a languid, cactus-fuelled trip at the opening of the third act causes pacing issues and a lack of focus which rather undermines the picture’s climax.
